Important Note About Oil Changes & Maintenance
At Vagabond Automotive, we do offer oil changes and routine maintenance as part of our mobile mechanic services. However, we want to be fully transparent about how our pricing works.
Our oil change service includes $80 for labor, a $20 travel fee, plus the cost of oil and filter. This pricing is higher than quick-lube shops, and there’s a reason for that.
Unlike traditional oil change facilities that rely on high-volume service performed by entry-level lube technicians, Vagabond Automotive is operated by a licensed journeyman technician with over 15 years of experience. When we come to your location, you’re not just getting an oil change—you’re getting a professional inspection, honest feedback, and expert insight into your vehicle’s overall condition, all at the comfort of your home or workplace.
Mobile service takes additional time and resources, including travel and on-site setup, which is why our pricing reflects the convenience, expertise, and personal service we provide. We believe in quality over volume and transparency over upselling.
If you’re looking for the cheapest oil change available, a quick-lube shop may be a better fit. If you value experience, honesty, and convenience, we’re happy to help.
